the dependence of some thermodynamic properties of spin-polarized liquid 3he such as velocity of sound, adiabatic index, isentropic compressibility and temperature on the spin polarization has been investigated along different isentropic paths. the lennard-jones potential has been used in our calculations. it has been found that for higher values of entropy, the spin polarization has greater effect on velocity of sound and adiabatic index with respect to those of lower entropies. also for a certain value of entropy and density, the isentropic compressibility is almost insensitive to the variations in polarization. abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract abstract

Thermodynamic properties of polarized liquid 3He along different isentropic paths
The dependence of some thermodynamic properties of spin-polarized liquid 3He such as velocity of sound, adiabatic index, isentropic compressibility and temperature on the spin polarization has been investigated along different isentropic paths. The Lennard-Jones potential has been used in our calculations. It has been found that for higher values of entropy, the spin polarization has greate...
full textThermodynamic properties of the ionized gas 3He
In this article, we have calculated some thermodynamic properties for a system consisting of singy ionized 3He atoms and their corresponding removed electrons by employing the second quantization method at finite temperature. To perform the calculations, we have considered the kinetic term, and Coulomb interaction between the particles in our Hamiltonian. The calculated properties are free ener...
full textCalculation of Thermodynamic Properties of the Quasi-one Dimensional Liquid 3He at Finite Temperature
We have used a variational approach to calculate some thermodynamic properties of the quasi-one dimensional liquid 3He such as the energy, entropy, free energy, equation of state and heat capacity at finite temperature. We have employed the Lennard-Jones potential as the inter-atomic interaction. We have seen that the total energy increases by increasing both temperature and density....
full textThermal conductivity of spin-polarized liquid 3He.
We present the first measurements of the thermal conductivity of spin-polarized normal liquid 3He. Using the rapid melting technique to produce nuclear polarizations up to 0.7, and a vibrating wire both as a heater and a thermometer, we show that, unlike the viscosity, the conductivity increases much less than predicted for s-wave scattering. We suggest that this might be due to a small probabi...
full textSpin-polarized 3He : liquid gas equilibrium
We study the effects of nuclear polarization M on the liquid-gas equilibrium phase diagram of 3He, in situations where the saturating vapour pressure increases or decreases as a function of M, and where a metamagnetic instability may occur in the liquid phase. Numerical predictions are given within the frame of a phenomenological model with parameters fitted to reproduce accurately the saturati...
full textSPATIAL CORRELATIONS IN SPIN-POLARIZED 3He LIQUID
Variational Fermi HNC calculations are performed for spin-polarized 3 ~ e liquid at zero temperature. The trial wave function is optimized by solving an Euler-Lagrange equation in the Fermi HNC approximation. Results for liquid structure function and one-particle momentum distribution are compared with the corresponding quantities of the spin-saturated liquid. In this report we present results ...
